Dear United Way Supporters:
I am very excited to be kicking off this 2015 United Way campaign, energized after the enthusiasm and success of the 2014 campaign (THANK YOU to all of those who provided support). We raised a total of $300,537 – an increase of $9,862 from the 2013 campaign – resulting in growth in funding for our LOCAL partner agencies, LOCAL pillar grant projects, and LOCAL community programs. The community support we received, allowed us to absolutely deliver on our campaign promise of “Raised Here. Stays Here.”
Our United Way is launching the 2015 campaign with a theme of “Local Focus. Local Impact.” Our partner agencies, pillar grant projects, and community programs currently directly provide services and programs to 28,047 LOCAL community members. We are so proud to be a part of that, but believe we can do even better and help even more of our friends, family members, students and neighbors in need! We want to see our “Local Impact” grow even further, and know with your support that will be possible.
There are a number of ways to provide support to the United Way and our campaign – pledging a financial donation (through a workplace campaign, small business solicitation, or residential mailing), advocating on behalf of United Way and/or our partner agencies, or volunteering with United Way or one of the 31 local nonprofit organizations we help support. At United Way, we believe the strongest communities are built by focusing on all elements of support - “Give. Advocate. Volunteer.”
I encourage you to visit our United Way website (www.ourunitedway.com) to learn more about our organizations, our partners and programs, as well as to review our annual report and other campaign marketing materials. Please also “like” our Facebook page at “United Way of Jefferson & North Walworth Counties” to stay up to date on happenings at our office and with our partners.
Our United Way is truly grateful for all of the past, and continued, support we receive from our generous communities. Simply put, we would not be able to maintain and grow our local influence without you. I hope you will consider being involved in our 2015 campaign, and contributing to impactful work being done in our communities!
With sincerest thanks,
